The Maternity Nurse Diary

The boys are in a major state of bliss after arriving home from Sun Valley. 

They are happy little things at the best of times, but the first morning they woke in their own beds they were clearly happy and contented.  As the day went on the smiles got broader and the chuckles started in earnest. 

They still have the odd ‘moment’, but nothing like last weeks ‘moments’ that could last a very long time indeed!

It is so nice to see them enjoying their favourite toys again, sleeping in their own beds again and of course melting hearts with their gorgeous smiles!

Welcome home boys!

I’ve been with the boys for 6.5 weeks now and I can’t believe time is flying so fast.

They are 13 weeks old now and full of chuckles and coo’s.  We are on holiday at Sun Valley, Idaho for 10 days and it is stunning!  So much snow and so peaceful.

I’ve been able to get out most days for a walk with the boys and we’ve had some beautiful sunny days.  It snowed today and yesterday just a little and we expect some more tonight. 

On my day off I took the ski lift up bald Mountain and experienced the most incredible views of the mountains and valleys that stretched for miles.  It was such a clear day and the views unhindered.  

 

I’m just wondeirng what I am doing up at this time of night when the boys are tucked up safely in their warm beds in a rather comatose state - where hopefully they will now stay until 7am or close to.

I have finished all the ironing which is a very good feat considering I just had a day off and their was over 24hrs worth of washing to do!  I’ve even put most of it away. 

Now I guess it is bedtime.
